Parents should do well to help their kids develop good level of self-confidence that would enable them say 'NO' to external pressures. A teen should be guided through the process of Self Identity Discovery, this will help her understand that she is a unique individual who shouldn't do things just to impress others. Self discovery would make her to understand that her today's decisions and actions would determine her tomorrow's success or failure. This is the surest way to a positive teenage development.
