Recently had my high school daughter in the emergency room for taking Adderall. This is a drug for ADHD. It seems it is prevelant in colleges, too. The teens have the mistaken belief that it will help them focus on their studies and get better grades. College kids use it for all nighters. It is an amphetamine. Teens who take it for their own ADHD or if they have brothers and sisters taking it are selling it for about $5 to $8 a pill. Side effects in my daughter included paranoia, numbness on the left side of the face and body, lashing out, and heart palipations. Good advice to those who have such prescriptions is to keep count!
